Lunch ‘N Learn for Entrepreneurs
Wednesday, October 3, 2018, 12 Noon to 1:30 PM.
Smitty’s Restaurant, 110 Main Street, Sussex, New Brunswick.
Members $12. Non-members $15 (Includes buffet luncheon, hand-out information, and presentations.)
This luncheon meeting includes a buffet luncheon, a 20-minute session on the benefits of corporate social responsibility facilitated by Wendy MacDermott, Executive Director of United Way, a 30- minute roundtable discussion on cost-cutting ideas facilitated by seasoned entrepreneurs, a “cost-cutting” handout, networking, and more.
Take away dozens of cost-cutting ideas that will help improve your bottom line and hear about the advantages of a strategic plan for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) for your small business. Below is a brief description of the two sessions at this meeting.
25 ways to cut costs in your business
Any savings that you can make in your raw materials, office supplies, space, and other essentials will drop down to the bottom line. And taking advantage of all the legitimate deductions will also reduce your income tax. These items and more will be discussed. This is a roundtable 30-minute participative session, and you are encouraged to present ideas that have worked for you as well. In addition you will have a summary of over 25 suggestions as a hand-out to take with you for review. These may include many ideas that were not even discussed. There should be something here for everyone.
CSR as a small business strategy.
Corporate Social Responsibility is not just for large corporations, and not just to show a sense of social responsibility. It has been shown to gain consumer trust, improve employee morale, and even increase profits. In this presentation you will understand why CSR is driving millennial attraction and engagement.
Come prepared to hear new ideas.
Bring along your company brochures and or business cards for the Networking Table. The official time of the meeting is 12 noon to 1:30 PM; but if you can arrive a few minutes early and stay a few minutes longer so much the better.
The first 30 minutes will be spent networking and enjoying the luncheon buffet included with your registration. (Be sure to bring business cards and take advantage of our Networking Table to display any company literature.) The balance of the time will be spent absorbing as much useful information as possible from the two presentations.
